Councilor-Minister Mag. Karin Fichtinger-Grohe visits Graz

On the 22nd of June, Councilor-Minister Mag. Karin Fichtinger-Grohe, head of the Department of Security Policy, Military Aspects of the CSDP and NATO Partnerships” at the Austrian Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, held a guest lecture within the context of Prof. Benedek’s course “Human Security in International Law” on the topic “Different Security Concepts on the European and Global Level: The Austrian Approach”. She concentrated on future challenges and threats and elaborated on questions regarding the Common Security and Defence Policy of the European Union, the interactions between the EU and NATO as well as the NATO “Partnership for Peace” program and she connected these to Austria and its national security strategy. Following her lecture, there was some time remaining for questions and discussions with the students.
