The European Society of International Law cordially invites its members to participate in the virtual presentation of the book award

The European Society of International Law is pleased to invite its members to a discussion with Dr Daniel Peat of Leiden University, author of the monograph "Comparative Reasoning in International Courts and Tribunals" (Cambridge University Press, 2019).

This book was selected as the winner among many outstanding publications by this year's jury of the ESIL Book Prize. The jury consisted of Professor Erika de Wet (Graz), Professor Mathias Forteau (Paris Nanterre), and Professor Christian Walter (LMU Munich).

Professor de Wet will lead the discussion and Dr. Peat will receive questions from Professors Forteau and Walter and from the audience.

The virtual event for the ESIL Book Prize 2020 will take place on Friday, October 2, 2020, from 13:00-14:00 CET. All ESIL members are cordially invited to register via this link. Registered participants will receive instructions by e-mail to attend the event online and, if they wish, to actively participate in the session.

A recording of the discussion will be made available on the Society's YouTube channel.

We look forward to a lively and stimulating discussion with you and to celebrating the ESIL book award winner for his remarkable monograph.
