Call for Applications!

  • You want to immerse yourself in a fictional, highly topical case and defend your State as a lawyer before the ICJ?
  • You want to improve your legal writing skills by drafting memorials and enhance your rhetorical skills by getting the chance to answer tough questions from highly qualified lawyers from all over the world?

Then you are the perfect candidate to take part in the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition (TMC)! Travel to international Pre-Moot events and compete against teams from all across Europe before the ICJ in The Hague during the finals! Do not hesitate and apply now for the “Telders International Law Moot Court” to have the chance to participate in the 49th edition of the competition in 2025/2026!

Altogether, the four Moot Court courses in the winter and summer semester account for 24 ECTS and qualify as a specialisation focus (“Spezialisierungsschwerpunkt”) and a further course in Module N within the new curriculum (22W). Of course, participation is also open to students in the expiring 18W curriculum.

In addition to coaching sessions, rhetorical training and many other practice opportunities in Graz, this year’s team will have the unique opportunity to go on several international excursions! Previous excursions included visits to Budapest, Düsseldorf, Seville, and The Hague.

Participation in all courses and excursions is compulsory. A maximum of four students will be selected as TMC team members of the University of Graz.

In order to apply, please submit the following documents (in English):

  • curriculum vitae and
  • a letter of motivation

Both documents shall be sent to voelkerrecht(at)uni-graz.at indicating “TMC 2025/26” as the subject matter by 30.06.2025!
