The Faculty of Law is pleased to welcome a new professor to its ranks: Since 1. January, Professor Dr. Erika de Wet, LL.M. (Harvard) has been strengthening the faculty at the Institute of International Law and International Relations.
After completing her legal studies at the University of the Free State in South Africa and Harvard University in the USA, Professor de Wet habilitated at the University of Zurich, which was followed by a number of international positions. She was, among other things, Professor of International Constitutional Law at the Amsterdam Center for International Law at the University of Amsterdam, Professor of International Law and Co-Director of the Institute for International and Comparative Law in Africa at the University of Pretoria and is an Honorary Professor at the University of Bonn. She has also taught and conducted research at the University of Leiden and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg.
